as they navigate through the transition time of introducing a new
baby into the family.”  ~Mary
What is a doula?
The word “doula” comes from the ancient
Greek meaning “a woman who serves.”  A
postpartum doula assists mother, father, and
possibly siblings during the postpartum
period.
How does a postpartum doula
support the family?

  • A doula will walk alongside the mom,
    providing her with emotional support,
    educational resources and practical
    assistance.
  • A doula will facilitate the dad with
skills and confidence for baby care
    and attachment.
  • A doula will assist with the care of the
    newborn baby.
  • A doula will help siblings adjust to the
    new baby.
What do I offer families?
Starting soon after the baby is
born, shifts are three or more
hours for two, three or more or
months.
 It would be my
privilege to
coach you during
the postpartum season!
